Emergency Medical Services Agency

The Emergency Medical Services Agency (EMSA) provides oversight for the Emergency Medical Services System in San Francisco. We direct, plan, monitor, and evaluate the San Francisco EMS System in collaboration with system and community providers.

The EMS Agency office with live in-person assistance will be closed from 12pm on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 through 5:00pm on Thursday, April 25, 2024 to allow our staff to participate in a citywide emergency preparedness exercise. If you need assistance with EMT or Paramedic application submission, please contact our Certification Team virtually by email at emsacertifications@sfgov.org.
