In-person help
Our bilingual election workers are ready to help year-round. You can call, email, or speak with one us in person in your preferred language. If none of us speaks your preferred language, we can communicate via interpreter in over 200 languages.
At in-person voting sites, our poll workers wear nametags with the languages they speak.
Ballots and Voter Information Pamphlets
We provide official ballots and Voter Information Pamphlets in English with Chinese, Spanish, or Filipino. Starting in 2026, materials will also be available in Vietnamese.
About a month before Election Day, we will mail you a ballot and the voter pamphlet in English and in the language of your choice.
You can request to receive election materials in your preferred language through our Voter Portal.
You can also get the ballot in the language of your choice through the accessible vote-by-mail system or by asking a poll worker at any voting site.
You can read or request the state voter guide in many languages at the Secretary of State’s website.
Reference ballots
We offer reference ballots in Korean, Japanese, Thai, and Burmese at every polling place. You can refer to a reference ballot while marking your official ballot.
You can request to receive a reference ballot by mail or email through our Voter Portal. You can also ask a poll worker at a voting site.
Language Accessibility Advisory Committee
