Urgent Care

  • We operate on-site clinics in City-funded shelters.
  • We provide urgent care on-site then connect people to ongoing care.
  • We support clients to meet their health goals during their stays in shelter.

Types of visits

  • We test for infections like COVID, TB, HIV, Hepatitis C, and STIs.
  • We help people manage long-term health problems.
  • We provide wound care.
  • We help with medication management.
  • We give vaccines.
  • We connect people to Substance Use Disorder Treatment including medications.

Connections

We prepare clients to manage their healthcare outside the shelter, connecting them to

  • Primary care
  • Mental health services
  • Substance use treatment

and other resources outside of shelters

Shelter Health team

Our Team

Our team includes registered nurses, health workers, and behavioral health providers. We work closely with street teams and community partners. We also partner with the San Francisco Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing and the community organizations that manage shelter sites.
