There are different fees for each type of permit. Fees range from $0 to $6,500 per permit depending on your permit type and other factors.
Fees are adjusted every year.

If you had a Shared Spaces parklet during the pandemic and are transitioning to the permanent Shared Spaces Program: Initial permit fees and first two annual license fees are waived for parklets that are issued permits prior to 7/1/2024. Fees for post-pandemic permits will only be billed after you receive a permit (not at the time of application submittal), on the Unified License Bill.

- Movable commercial parklet
- Fixed commercial parklet
- Your gross receipts
- Whether or not you are a formula retail operator (with 11 more locations worldwide)

Public parklet
- Is a fixed structure
- Provides full time, publicly accessible space
- Has no commercial activity
Movable commercial parklet
- Is a space occupied by the operator
- Has commercial activity during limited business hours
- Has a bench or other public seating facility
- Must choose from these available time blocks (up to 3):
- 8am to Noon
- Noon to 3pm
- 3pm to 6pm
- 6pm to 10pm
Fixed commercial parklet
- Is a space occupied by the operator
- Has commercial activity during business hours
- Has a bench or other public seating facility
- Open to the public during non-commercial daytime hours, even when business is closed
