Getting to Balboa Village
SF Muni features several direct bus lines running through the neighborhood from downtown and other parts of San Francisco.
Spend a perfect day in Balboa Village and get in touch with San Francisco's natural landscape.
1. Start your day with coffee, tea, and a wide variety of things at Simple Pleasures and La Promenade Cafe, and pick up some fresh roasted coffee beans from Simple Pleasures Roastery to take home!
2. For breakfast, grab fresh bagels and freshly made cream cheese from The Laundromat, baked goods from Butterlove Bakeshop and Devil's Teeth Baking Company, and have dim sum either to-go from Dimdoduc, or wheeled to your table at Taste of Fusion.
3. Grab fresh fruit and water from the Balboa Produce Market and hike Lands End to soak up the beauty of our coastline while checking out gorgeous iconic views of the Golden Gate Bridge.
4. Stop in for some music and peruse the record collection at Noise Records.
5. Grab a burrito from Chinos Taqueria or a sandwich from Mr. Bahn Mi and walk to nearby Golden Gate Park to feed the ducks at Spreckles Lake or say hi to the bison herd.
6. Catch an afternoon matinee movie at the historic Balboa Theater.
7. Shop at Eye and Hand Society for local apparel and art, and stop at Creative IQ Art Studio for an art class, art supplies, or local art.
8. Grab agua frescas from Cielito Lindo or boba tea from Purple Kow and go watch the sunset at Ocean Beach.
9. Have wine and hors d'oeuvres at Cassava Wine Bar before dinner.
10. Dine at one of the many amazing restaurants, including Cielito Lindo, Eat Americana, Kio Ramen, Shanghai House, Balboa Teriyaki, Little Henry’s, Little Wok, Kim Son, Superior Palace, Miki Ramen, Cassava, or The Laundromat.
11. Finish with a night cap at Hockey Haven Bar.

The main street of Balboa Village is only about 8 blocks long but there is everything you want in this walkable quaint neighborhood: 2 award winning bakeries, 7 popular restaurants, a fantastic yoga school you can drop-in, 2 cafés, an independent movie theater, a flower shop and a market.
From a quick getaway from the City noise to the beach to a serious hike for a whole day, Outer Richmond is one of San Francisco's most nature abundant neighborhoods.
Balboa Village can be your base for nature adventures to Baker Beach, the Presidio, Ocean Beach, Lands End and Sutro Bathes, and of course the Golden Gate Park.
