- Ramaytush Ohlone Land Acknowledgement
The San Francisco Arts Commission acknowledges that we are on the unceded ancestral homeland of the Ramaytush Ohlone who are the original inhabitants of the San Francisco Peninsula. As the indigenous stewards of this land and in accordance with their traditions, the Ramaytush Ohlone have never ceded, lost nor forgotten their responsibilities as the caretakers of this place, as well as for all peoples who reside in their traditional territory. As guests, we recognize that we benefit from living and working on their traditional homeland. We wish to pay our respects by acknowledging the ancestors, elders and relatives of the Ramaytush Community and by affirming their sovereign rights as First Peoples. As a department dedicated to promoting a diverse and equitable Arts and Culture environment in San Francisco, we are committed to supporting the traditional and contemporary evolution of the American Indian community.

- Motion to approve "Year of the Dragon," two mural designs by Alberto Martinez. The mural will be installed on 707 Ellis St. in District 5. The mural measures approximately 11 ft. height by 8 ft. 6 in. width, and 11 ft. 6 in. height by 40 ft. width. The artwork is funded by a Tenderloin Facade Improvement Grants, administered by SF New Deal and will not become part of the Civic Art Collection.
- Motion to approve "Marble Lotus," a mural design by Max Marttila. The mural will be installed on 606 Eddy St. in District 5. The mural measures approximately 13 ft. 4 in. height by 7 ft. width. The artwork is partially funded by a Tenderloin Facade Improvement Grants, administered by SF New Deal and will not become part of the Civic Art Collection.
- Motion to approve "Dodge Place Gardens," two mural designs by Kaytwo. The mural will be installed on 460 Larkin St. in District 5. The mural measures approximately 13 ft. 6 in. height by 15 ft. width and 15 ft. height by 75 ft. width. The artwork is funded Community Challenge Grant and will not become part of the Civic Art Collection.
- Motion to approve "West Portal Murals," a series of murals designed by Chris Granillo. The murals, measuring approximately 680 sq. ft. in total, will be installed at the following locations:
a) One (1) low retaining wall at Ulloa St. and Clairemont Blvd.
b) One (1) storage locker at West Portal Library, Ulloa St. and Lenox Way
c) Two (2) traffic signal cabinets at West Portal Ave. and Vicente St.
d) One (1) traffic signal cabinet (approximately 60 sq. ft.) at West Portal Ave. and 14th Ave.
e) One (1) traffic signal cabinet at Portola Dr. and Vicente St.
The artwork is funded by the District 7 Supervisor’s Participatory Budget and will not become part of the Civic Art Collection.
SOMA Pilipinas Temporary Art Installation
Discussion and Possible Action
Discussion and possible action to approve the temporary installation of "13°N, 122°E," an artwork by the collective mumu. The sculpture will be located in the Third Street Plaza “East Garden,” and tentatively installed from August 1, 2025 through March 1, 2030. The artwork is funded by OEWD, MOHCD, and private sources. SOMA Pilipinas and Yerba Buena Gardens Conservancy will be responsible for the maintenance and the work will not become part of the Civic Art Collection.

Meeting procedures
1. Agenda items will normally be heard in order. Please note, that on occasion a special circumstance may necessitate that an agenda item be taken out of order. To ensure that an agenda item is not missed, it is advised to arrive at the beginning of the meeting. All agenda changes will be announced by the Chair at the top of the meeting.
2. Public comment will be taken before or during the Committee’s consideration of each agenda item. Each speaker will be allowed to speak for the time allotted by the Chair at the top of the meeting for up to three (3) minutes.
3. During General Public Comment, members of the public may address the Commissioners on matters that are within the Arts Commission’s jurisdiction and are not on the agenda.
4. Any person speaking during a public comment period may supply a brief written summary of their comments, which shall, if no more than 150 words, be included in the official file. Written comments pertaining to this meeting should be submitted to art-info@sfgov.org.
5. Persons attending the meeting and those unable to attend may submit written comments regarding the subject of the meeting. PLEASE NOTE: The Arts Commission often receives documents created or submitted by other City officials, agencies or departments after the posting of the Arts Commission agenda. For such documents or presentations, members of the public may wish to contact the originating agency if they seek documents not yet provided to the Arts Commission.
Meeting procedures
1. Agenda items will normally be heard in order. Please note, that on occasion a special circumstance may necessitate that an agenda item be taken out of order. To ensure that an agenda item is not missed, it is advised to arrive at the beginning of the meeting. All agenda changes will be announced by the Chair at the top of the meeting.
2. Public comment will be taken before or during the Committee’s consideration of each agenda item. Each speaker will be allowed to speak for the time allotted by the Chair at the top of the meeting for up to three (3) minutes.
3. During General Public Comment, members of the public may address the Commissioners on matters that are within the Arts Commission’s jurisdiction and are not on the agenda.
4. Any person speaking during a public comment period may supply a brief written summary of their comments, which shall, if no more than 150 words, be included in the official file. Written comments pertaining to this meeting should be submitted to art-info@sfgov.org.
5. Persons attending the meeting and those unable to attend may submit written comments regarding the subject of the meeting. Such comments will be made part of the official public record and will be brought to the attention of the committee. Written comments should be submitted to Arts Commission staff via email to craig.corpora@sfgov.org or tara.peterson@sfgov.org by 5:00 p.m. before the date of the meeting. Please note that names and addresses included in these submittals will become part of the public record. Submittals may be made anonymously. Written public comment submitted to SFAC staff will not be read aloud during the meeting. Communications not received prior to the meeting may be delivered to SFAC staff and will be shared with the commissioners.
Electronic devices prohibited
The ringing of and use of cell phones, pagers, and similar sound-producing electronic devices are prohibited at this meeting, except as necessary to participate remotely. The Chair may order the exclusion from participation of any person responsible for improper disruptions to this remote meeting.
Sunshine Ordinance

Lobbyist registration and reporting requirements
Individuals and entities that influence or attempt to influence local legislative or administrative action may be required by the San Francisco Lobbyist Ordinance (San Francisco Campaign and Governmental Conduct Code sections 2.100-2.160) to register and report lobbying activity.
