The Office of Cannabis is proud to announce a collaboration with the Bar Association of San Francisco (BASF) Lawyer Referral and Information Service (LRIS) and BASF’s Cannabis Law Section to provide San Francisco’s equity applicants with free legal services, including contract review, permitting guidance, and compliance review.

If you are a verified equity applicant looking for free legal services, then please contact Princess Bustos at pbustos@sfbar.org.

Oaksterdam

San Francisco's verified equity applicants can enroll today in self-paced online courses, live semesters, or both. The Business of Cannabis and Horticulture's interactive 14-week semester, with live support, networking, and business plan development begins March 2, 2021 (limited seats available). Additional programs including Budtending, Manufacturing, and Extractions are immediately available and are self-paced.

Founded in 2007 in Oakland, California, Oaksterdam University is the world’s first cannabis college. Since opening its doors, OU has provided comprehensive training for the cannabis community and industry. Oaksterdam’s faculty includes attorneys, academics, cultivators, and entrepreneurs.

  • Equity Bootcamp, a self-paced learning platform.
  • One-on-one consultations for technical assistance.
  • Virtual workshops with subject matter experts.

  • Additional areas of support include: (i) compliance and licensing; (ii) business management (planning, marketing, advertising); and (iii) business finances (pro forma statements, accounting, taxes).
