Our mission
The Contract Monitoring Division (CMD) advocates for economic justice on City projects and helps businesses and City departments meet this need.
Our mission is to enforce programs promoting diversity and equality on contracts for the City and County of San Francisco.
Our programs
We operate 2 programs to help local small businesses and employees achieve our mission:
- Chapter 14B: Local Business Enterprise Program
- Chapter 12B: Equal Benefits and Non-Discrimination Program
We also offer small business help through the Contractor Development Program.
Our history
The Contract Monitoring Division was established in 2013 after Mayor Edwin Lee transferred CMD from the Human Rights Commission to the City Administrator's Office.
