Apply to become a DreamSF fellow

The DreamSF Fellowship is a paid leadership program for immigrant youth. Apply in February each year.

What to do

Eligibility

You can apply if you are:

  • over 18
  • live in the Bay Area
  • available 20 hours a week
  • available from 9 am to 12:30 pm every Friday
  • proficient in English
  • Fluency in a second language is preferred but not required

You also need to go to a 2 or 4 year college. You must either:

  • Be currently enrolled
  • Planning to enroll
  • Or have recently graduated 

You can apply regardless of your immigration status.

Essays

To apply you will need to respond to 4 short answer essays of about 500 words each. 

Short answer questions and essay topics are about: 

  • You professional skills, goals and interests
  • The role migration has played in your life
  • An example of personal growth 

What happens after you apply

We will email you about your application in mid to late May.

If you are selected as a semi-finalist you will have a group and individual interview.

If you are selected for the fellowship, you will start in July.

The DreamSF Fellowship supports young immigrant professionals by partnering with organizations that help San Francisco's immigrant community.
