What to do
You can apply if you are:
- over 18
- live in the Bay Area
- available 20 hours a week
- available from 9 am to 12 pm every Friday
You also need to go to a 2 or 4 year college. You must either:
- Be currently enrolled
- Planning to enroll
- Or have recently graduated
You can apply regardless of your immigration status.
What you will need
To apply you will need to respond to 2 short answer questions of about 250 words each and 3 essays of about 500 words each.
Short answer questions and essay topics are about:
- You professional skills, goals and interests
- Your connection to immigrant communities
- An example of your personal growth and development
2. Your Resume
You will need to upload a copy of your resume (or CV) to the application. Your school's career center can help you write a resume.
What happens after you apply
We will email you about your application in early May.
If you are selected as a semi-finalist you will have a group and individual interview in late May.
If you are selected for the fellowship, you will start at the end of June 2020.
