SF Pride and community partners are planning anniversary events throughout 2020, culminating in San Francisco’s Pride Celebration and Parade in June. More than a million people are expected to join the celebrations.
San Francisco’s Office of Transgender Initiatives, Office of Civic Engagement and Immigrant Affairs, and community partners kickoff the 2020 Census with a panel conversation to discuss what’s at stake for LGBTQ communities.
The San Francisco Transgender Day of Remembrance will begin on the City Hall steps at 5:30 pm with opening remarks by community leaders and Mayor London Breed. It will be followed by a procession to UC Hastings Louis B. Mayer Auditorium at 6:00 pm.
Mayor London Breed, Senator Scott Wiener, Supervisor Rafael Mandelman, the Office of Transgender Initiatives and the trans community will come together to celebrate successes and commit to combatting prejudice, discrimination, and violence that affect the transgender community.
The Mayor’s Office of Housing and Community Development has selected the providers who will operate a housing subsidy program for transgender and gender non-conforming households.
