Temporary shelters are available from Nov 20 to Nov 22.

 

Beds are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Guests will be served 2 meals per day.

Park closures

Some San Francisco parks are closed due to the weather. 

 

If you visit open parks, be alert as strong gusts can topple healthy trees and snap limbs. Also be careful for flooding.

Tips to stay safe during a storm
  • Avoid using candles during power outages to prevent fire hazards. Use flashlights or head lamps instead.

  • Avoid lower elevation streets, drainage channels, and other areas that may flood.

  • Avoid driving during heavy rains and winds.

  • Check on friends and family who may need help during the storm (especially elderly, homebound, or neighbors with disabilities).
