Parks and recreation

The Islands are home to a variety of parks, open space and recreational opportunities including a new public park system, athletic fields, Treasure Island Sailing Center and a skatepark.

Treasure Island Museum

The Treasure Island Museum promotes the history of Treasure and Yerba Buena Islands through curated exhibitions, a regular lecture series, online exhibitions and more.

Public art

Several current public installations and a robust Arts Master Plan emphasize the Island's place as a home for public art and local artists.

Ride the SFMTA MUNI 25 - Treasure Island bus

You can ride the SFMTA MUNI 25 bus line to Treasure Island.  The MUNI 25 departs for Treasure Island regularly from the Transit Center in downtown San Francisco.

Ride the Treasure Island ferry

Ride the Treasure Island ferry

The Treasure Island ferry runs on a regular daily schedule between the Treasure Island Ferry Terminal and the San Francisco Ferry Building, Gate B.  Bicycles are allowed on-board the ferry.  Only service animals allowed.  $5 one-way ticket.  Children under 5 ride free.

Bicycle to Treasure Island from the East Bay

Bicycle to Treasure Island from the East Bay

Bicycle access to the Islands from the East Bay via the Bay Bridge Bicycle Path is open daily.  There is currently no direct bicycle access to and from San Francisco. 

Drive to Treasure Island

Drive to Treasure Island

Exit "Treasure/Yerba Buena Island" at the midway point of the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge.  A toll is required for vehicles traveling onto the Bay Bridge from the East Bay.  There is no gas station on-Island.  There are electric vehicle charging stations located at 9th Street and Avenue of Palms.
