The Southeast Child/Family Therapy Center, located on Blanken Avenue, is the primary site of two locations offering a range of behavioral health care services to support the well-being of residents in the Southeast sector of San Francisco (including Bayview, Portola, Visitacion Valley, Excelsior, Outer Mission, Bernal Heights, Sunnydale).

The Southeast Child/Family Therapy Center, located on Blanken Avenue, is the primary site of two locations offering a range of behavioral health care services to support the well-being of residents in the Southeast sector of San Francisco (including Bayview, Portola, Visitacion Valley, Excelsior, Outer Mission, Bernal Heights, Sunnydale).

We serve individuals who have low incomes, are uninsured, or have/qualify for Medicare, MediCal, or San Francisco Health Plan.

Services include:

  • Individual and group therapy
  • Assessments and evaluations (located at our Silver site)
  • Medication support and treatment (located at our Silver site)
  • Crisis services
  • Support groups
  • Case management (assessing needs, coordinating care, and connecting to other services

Other services:

Telehealth appointments are available upon request in the evening (after 5 pm) as well as on Saturdays.

The Kuumba Project

The Kuumba Health Project (KHP) integrates the historical and cultural legacy of San Francisco's African Descent community to provide culturally responsive, family-driven, and youth-guided behavioral health services to empower youth and families and promote community well-being.

Services include:

  • Comprehensive psychotherapy
  • Counseling and consultations
  • Medication support referrals
  • Parent training
  • Community connections

SF Latino Task Force

Our team provides community outreach and support to the SF Latino Task Force through its involvement with the Excelsior Community HUB Family Resources Center.

Adventure-Based Psychotherapy (Rock Climbing Group)

Adventure-Based Psychotherapy is a rock-climbing group for children ages 10 to 17 to help build self-confidence, self-esteem, and frustration tolerance. The group is open to all youth and teens who visit the clinic.

School and Community Consultations

Partnership with San Francisco Unified School District

In close collaboration with the San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD), we provide comprehensive behavioral health services to support the well-being of students in select schools, including Downtown High School, Carver Elementary, MLK Middle School, and Thurgood Marshall High School. Additionally, we support various local private and charter schools in San Francisco.

Services include:

  • Individual and group counseling
  • Behavioral interventions and support
  • Psycho-educational assessments
  • Crisis intervention and management
  • Training and consultation for school staff
  • Referrals

Psycho-Educational Parent Support Groups

  • Triple P Parenting Program
  • Gaming Group
  • Advocating 4 Your Black Child (A4YBC) Group
  • Cultural/language groups in Cantonese and Spanish.

Our team speaks English, Cantonese, and Spanish. Other languages are available via our translation phone service line.

Parking

Street parking is available on Blanken and Tunnel Avenue. The parking lot on the side of the building on Blanken is private property.

Bike parking is also available.

Public transportation

Bayshore Cal-Train Station is 3 blocks for the clinic. SF Muni Train T-Third Street stop Bayshore Blvd & Arleta/Blanken, SF Muni Bus8, – 8, 8BX, 9, 9R, & 91
