About
San Francisco voters approved the establishment of the Sheriff's Department Oversight Board (SDOB) in 2020.
The SDOB is tasked with assessing the activities of the Office of Sheriff's Inspector General (OSIG).
When the OSIG is fully staffed, it will assume the responsibilities previously undertaken by the Department of Police Accountability (DPA) in investigating claims of misconduct involving sheriff's deputies and its personnel.
