OCME Annual Report FY 2019-2020

2,419 deaths occurring in San Francisco were reported to the OCME. Of those deaths, 1,500 were investigated by the OCME. Additionally, 1,156 postmortem cases were received for forensic toxicology testing, in addition to human performance cases (including driving under the influence and drug-facilitated sexual assaults).

Additionally, 1,749 postmortem and human performance cases (including public intoxication, driving under the influence, and drug-facilitated sexual assaults) were received for forensic toxicology testing.
