Health Care Accountability Ordinance Minimum Standards Review
A review of the minimum standards in relation to the current health care insurance market in California.
HCAO Minimum Standards Review
The San Francisco Health Commission has the sole authority to set the Minimum Standards that employers subject to HCAO must meet or exceed. The Ordinance requires a review of the standards at least once every two years. For the review process, DPH convenes a workgroup of stakeholders representative of non-profit and for-profit employers, labor advocates, health insurance brokers, and city departments to develop recommendations for revising the Minimum Standards.
