Members of the public can file a Language Access Ordinance complaint about City Departments, if they did not get adequate language services in their language.
The Office of Civic Engagement and Immigrant Affairs (OCEIA) is responsible for collecting, investigating, responding to, and tracking all complaints regarding San Francisco’s Language Access Ordinance (LAO).
LAO Complaint Reports:
- Summarize the complaint
- Do not contain identifying information about the person who filed the complaint
- Are posted after complaint is closed
