Kaitlyn Azevedo is the Deputy Director of the Entertainment Commission, which works to support and regulate entertainment and nightlife in the City and County of San Francisco. Kaitlyn has extensive fiscal and administrative experience in both the non-profit and public sectors, having most recently served as an Analyst for the Superior Court of California in Alameda County’s Budget Services Unit. She brings familiarity of writing, adhering to, and enforcing policies and procedures for regulatory purposes.  In addition, Kaitlyn has over four years of experience serving as a safety committee member for her respective employers, giving her a solid foundation and strong understanding of safe operational practices and guidelines. Kaitlyn hopes to deepen her experience in this area by supporting the Entertainment Commission’s commitment to regulating and promoting safe and responsible nightlife in San Francisco.

Prior to working for the Superior Court, Kaitlyn was the Administrative Coordinator for a non-profit agency that served children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. In this position, she managed the administrative duties of a campus comprised of 150 participants and 50 staff.  She then transitioned within the same agency to the Employment Coordinator, where she supported adults with disabilities seeking to enter the workforce. In these roles, Kaitlyn worked to form strong relationships with an array of stakeholders, while enhancing her leadership and advocacy skills.

Kaitlyn is passionate about serving the public and supporting local businesses. She has lived in the Bay Area for over five years, and obtained a Masters of Public Administration from the University of San Francisco in December 2015. In her spare time, Kaitlyn enjoys attending music festivals, going to Giants games, and exploring new restaurants in the Bay Area.
