Deputy Director

Kaitlyn Azevedo has served as Deputy Director of the San Francisco Entertainment Commission since 2018, playing a key role in regulating and supporting the City’s dynamic entertainment sector. With a strong background in fiscal management, policy enforcement, and public administration, she is committed to fostering a responsible, thriving, and inclusive nightlife and entertainment industry in San Francisco.
Before joining the Entertainment Commission, Kaitlyn worked in the Superior Court of California’s Budget Services Unit in Alameda County, where she gained extensive experience in financial oversight and regulatory compliance. She began her career in the nonprofit sector, managing operations for an organization serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. In this role, she built strong partnerships with stakeholders and deepened her commitment to community advocacy—values that continue to shape her work today.
A dedicated public servant and champion for local businesses, Kaitlyn has called the Bay Area home for over 12 years. She holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of San Francisco. In her free time, she enjoys attending music festivals, cheering on the Giants, and exploring new restaurants with her husband and son.
