SAN FRANCISCO, Tuesday, October 10, 2023 – Over the last week, the Department of Elections’ sticker contest panel has evaluated over 500 “I Voted!” sticker designs submitted by contest participants and narrowed down the submissions to nine finalists. Now it is time for the public to choose their favorite!
“The engagement and creativity we’ve seen from San Franciscans has been incredible,” said Director John Arntz. “We are now looking forward to seeing what the residents of our city want to use for their “I Voted!” stickers in the 2024 elections. We encourage everyone to have a look and to make a choice, either online, or here at City Hall!”
All finalist sticker designs are currently being displayed at sfelections.org/stickercontest. The sticker designs will also be featured in a gallery outside Room 48 of City Hall beginning 8 a.m. on Wednesday, October 11. The public selection process of the new “I Voted!” sticker will remain open through 5 p.m. on Tuesday, October 17.
On Thursday, October 26, 2023, the Department will announce the winners in a ceremony at City Hall.
In the March and November 2024 elections, a sticker with the first-place design will be included in over 500,000 vote-by-mail ballot packets and handed out to in-person voters at the City Hall Voting Center and hundreds of polling places on each election day.
