The last few years have challenged and tested our small business community like never before. These challenging times gave us more than enough motivation to pursue changes that make it easier for new and existing businesses to thrive in San Francisco. While our work is ongoing, we would like to share a few highlights from Fiscal Year 2022-23.

Free tax prep centers help thousands of City residents, including undocumented and immigrant households, file taxes to help them receive their hard-earned local, state, and federal tax credits; Since launching the Working Families Credit in 2005, San Francisco has received 100,000 applications and distributed more than $10 million to low-and moderate-income residents in tax credits and refunds
Since the moratorium took effect last November, the Mission Street commercial corridor saw a decrease in calls related to violent crimes and theft, improved street conditions, and broad support from businesses
