This is the regular in-person monthly public meeting of the Sheriff's Department Oversight Board. Members of the public are invited to attend the meeting virtually or in person to give public comment.

The public is now welcome to address the Board regarding items that do not appear on this afternoon's agenda but that are within the subject matter jurisdiction of the Board. Speakers shall address their remarks to the Board as a whole and not to individual Board Members or Department or SDO personnel.

Inspector General, position established by SF Charter section 4.137 to head the Office of the Inspector General.
- Vote to Disclose Discussion on Closed Session (Action)
Vote to elect whether to disclose any or all discussions on Item 6, held in Closed Session (San Francisco Administrative Code Section 67.12(a))
- Presentation by the Department of Police Accountability (DPA) (Informational)
Submission of 2021 and 2022 yearly statistics regarding complaints against SFSO received or handled by the DPA, including:
- anonymized statistical data that includes the total number of complaints DPA received from the public and the SFSO
- the types of allegations
- the number of DPA’s open SFSO investigations
- the number of complaints returned to the SFSO for investigations
- DPA’s recommendations in all the cases it closed that year
- and demographic information such as the age, gender, ethnicity or occupation of all complainants and investigated uniformed SFSO members.
- NACOLE Code of Ethics (Discussion and Possible Action)
Consideration of removing previously tabled agenda item from the table for a vote on adopting the NACOLE (National Association for Civilian Oversight of Law Enforcement) Code of Ethics.
- San Francisco Charter Section 4.137 (Discussion)
Discussion on any potential changes to the SF Charter Section 4.137.

Know Your Rights Under the Sunshine Act
Government's duty is to serve the public, reaching its decisions in full view of the public. Commissions, boards, councils, and other agencies of the City and County exist to conduct the people's business. This ordinance assures that deliberations are conducted before the people and that City operations are open to the people's review. Per the Language Access Ordinance (Chapter 91 of the San Francisco Administrative Code), Chinese, Spanish, and or Filipino (Tagalog) interpreters will be available upon request. Meeting Minutes may be translated if requested after they have been adopted by the Commission. Assistance in additional languages may be honored whenever possible. Sheriff's Department Oversight Board hearings are held in Room 416 at City Hall, 1 Dr. Carlton B. Goodlett Place in San Francisco. City Hall is accessible to persons using wheelchairs and other assistive mobility devices. Ramps are available at the Grove, Van Ness and McAllister entrances. The closest accessible BART station is Civic Center Station. For information about SFMTA service, please call 311.
