Approved by San Francisco voters in 2020, the Sheriff's Department Oversight Board (SDOB) provides independent, community-driven oversight of the Sheriff’s Department. The SDOB evaluates the activities of the Office of Sheriff’s Inspector General (OSIG), which is currently transitioning to assume full responsibility for investigating misconduct complaints involving deputies and department personnel.
