The Sheriff's Department Oversight Board (SDOB) was approved by San Francisco voters in 2020.
The SDOB will evaluate the work of the Office of the Inspector General.
The Office of the Inspector General (OIG) will take over the work started by the Department of Police Accountability to investigate allegations of misconduct by sheriff's deputies.
