Commission on the Status of Women Regular June Meeting

The Commission will review and possibly approve minutes from the regular Commission meeting on May 22, 2024.

Deputy Director Joseph Macaluso may discuss grant programs; core service area activities; meetings involving City leaders, agencies, and stakeholders; Department staff; past/upcoming events; and/or Department operations.

A. Presentation from the Office of Transgender Initiatives

Director Honey Mahogany will introduce herself as the new Director of the Office of Transgender Initiatives. She will give a presentation on what she hopes to accomplish in her new role and highlight some of the most pressing challenges currently facing the trans community.

C. The Gender Equity Policy Institute (GEPI) Grant amendment and Sole Source Approval - Discussion and Action

D. Draft Cover Letter: 2023 Gender Analysis of Commissions and Boards Report - Discussion and Action

This item is to allow members of the public to address the Commission on matters that are within the subject matter jurisdiction of the Commission and that do not appear on the agenda, as well as to suggest new agenda items for future meetings.
