II. OLD BUSINESS

A. Teleconferencing Resolution                      Action

In accord with the City Attorney’s recommendation, a resolution allowing the Committee to continue holding meetings virtually will be voted upon. The Committee will return to in-person meetings effective 3/15/2023.

III. NEW BUSINESS/REPORTS

A. POLICY SUBCOMMITTEE                              Discussion

The Subcommittee discussed Navigation Centers, bylaws, and in-person meetings.

B. IN-PERSON MEETINGS                                     Discussion

Members will discuss what steps need to be taken to ensure that in-person meetings can begin in March (as outlined by the Office of the City Attorney).

Update from the Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing.

D. DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH                  Discussion

Review of October inspections, complaints, and investigations. Share tentative inspection schedule. Recruitment efforts.  The manager of A Woman's Place will give a short presentation.

E. HOMELESSNESS OVERSIGHT COMMISSION     Discussion/Action

Staff will apprise the Committee of key legislation under consideration.  The BOS Rules Committee met February 6 and again on February 13) to discuss a proposal that calls for SMC to report to the Homelessness Oversight Commission, instead of the LHCB.  There are proposals that could significantly impact the SMC.

F.    REVIEW OF SMC BYLAWS                                   Discussion/Action

Members of the public may only speak once per agenda item.
