The Office of Economic and Workforce Development’s (OEWD) workforce development strategic plans

Notice of Opportunity for Public Comment

(December 16, 2024 - January 15, 2025)

The federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) requires that San Francisco, San Mateo, and Santa Clara workforce boards develop four-year local and regional strategic plans.

The San Francisco Office of Economic and Workforce Development (OEWD) has developed a Draft Strategic Local WIOA Plan PY 2025-28 for the provision of workforce development activities in San Francisco, CA.

The Bay-Peninsula Regional Planning Unit, which includes San Francisco, San Mateo, and Santa Clara counties, has prepared a Draft Strategic Regional WIOA Plan for FY 2025-28 for the coordination of workforce development activities across the three-county region.

The public is invited to comment on the Local and Regional Plans during a thirty (30) day public comment period beginning December 16, 2024 and ending on January 15, 2025. Both the Local and Regional Plans can be found below.

If you would like to provide input on the plan, you may do so in two ways:

  2. Submit a public comment form in-person at the OEWD Front Desk at 1 South Van Ness, Fifth Floor, San Francisco, CA 94103.

OEWD receives funds through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). We must report how we use these funds to support workforce development activities.
