Operated by the YMCA of San Francisco. Recreational programming, basketball courts, weights, fitness and cardiovascular equipment are available. Free for Island resident use, initial registration required.

Treasure Island playgrounds
Open daily for Island children and families. Posted rules apply. All adults must be accompanying a child.

Gardening and nature
Treasure Island Community Garden
Managed by Indigenous Permaculture. The Community Garden offers the Island community an opportunity to learn about traditional approaches to agriculture and food security.
- Gateview Avenue at Exposition Drive
Treasure Island/Yerba Buena Island Public Stewardship Program
Managed by TIDA and San Francisco Environment. The Stewardship Program seeks to connect the Island community to nature existing on both Treasure and Yerba Buena Islands.
Current on-Island volunteer opportunities are available through Golden Gate Audubon Society and Literacy for Environmental Justice..
