Refuse Rate Setting Process
The 2025 Refuse Rate-Setting process is now complete. In June 2022, San Francisco voters passed Proposition F to reform the City’s refuse rate setting process. Members of the public participated by sending written "Proposition F" and "Proposition 218" objections to the Refuse Rates Administrator and by commenting at the public meetings listed below. New rates were approved by the Refuse Rate Board on June 25, 2025 and went into effect October 1st, 2025, effective through September 30, 2028.
