Bicycle and pedestrian access to Treasure Island and Yerba Buena Island

Due to on-Island construction, bicycle connections are currently limited.

Access restrictions

The Yerba Buena Island bike path is open on weekends; access will expand to weekdays once the Southgate Road Realignment Project construction concludes in Fall, 2022.

Bay Bridge East Span Path

Pedestrians and cyclists can travel the Bay Bridge Trail and Zuckermann Bicycle Path along the East Span of the San Francisco/Oakland Bay Bridge from the trailhead in Emeryville. The path has one lane in each direction for bicyclists and an outside lane designated for walkers.

Yerba Buena Island Vista Point

The YBI Vista Point is the western end of the Zuckermann Path. It is open to cyclists and pedestrians on the same schedule as the Zuckermann Path.

There are restrooms, benches, a hydration station, and bike racks. Enjoy sweeping views of the Bay Bridge, San Francisco Bay and Oakland.

Connecting to San Francisco

There is not a bicycle/pedestrian connection between Yerba Buena Island and San Francisco.

The SFMTA MUNI 25 bus and the Treasure Island Ferry both accommodate bicycles.
