When you applied to become a vendor, you agreed to follow the Alemany Farmers Market Rules and Regulations. The rules are outlined on our webpages, but you can also review the complete rules document.
If market management believes you didn't follow the rules, you may get a violation notice.
First violation
The first violation is usually a written warning. It will say what rule you broke.
Additional violations
If you break the rules again, the consequences become more serious.
- 2nd violation: 1-week suspension (you’re not allowed to sell in the market for 1 week)
- 3rd violation: 4-week suspension
- 4th violation: 3-month suspension
- 5th violation: 18-month suspension
- 6th violation: Permanent ban (you can’t sell in the market again)
If you’re suspended for 3 months or more, you will need to apply again to get permission to sell at the market.
Getting banned from selling at the Farmers Market
Breaking some rules can get you permanently banned right away. This may include breaking any local, state, or federal laws.
You may also get banned if you get suspended twice within 5 years.
Appealing a violation
If you get a violation and don’t think you deserve it, you can ask us to reconsider.
You’ll get a chance to explain your side in a letter and at a hearing.
