1. Check income requirements for the grant you want to apply to.
Each small business grant has different income rules. Check the requirements for each grant you want to apply to.
2. Count how many people are in your family.
A family is a single person or a group of people who live together, regardless of actual or perceived sexual orientation, gender identity, or marital status.
3. Use your 2023 tax return if you have filed or estimate your total income for the last 12 months.
4. Check if your income qualifies as low.
- Family of 1 must have an income less than $65,250
- Family of 2 must have an income less than $74,600
- Family of 3 must have an income less than $83,900
- Family of 4 must have an income less than $93,200
- Family of 5 must have an income less than $100,700
- Family of 6 must have an income less than $108,150
- Family of 7 must have an income less than $115,600
- Family of 8 or more must have an income less than $123,050
5. Check if your income qualifies as moderate.
- Family of 1 must have an income less than $104,101
- Family of 2 must have an income less than $118,950
- Family of 3 must have an income less than $133,800
- Family of 4 must have an income less than $148,650
- Family of 5 must have an income less than $160,550
- Family of 6 must have an income less than $172,450
- Family of 7 must have an income less than $184,350
- Family of 8 or more must have an income less than $196,250
