You can check if a property has received a Notice of Violation (NOV) by going to the Permit/Complaint Tracking System, searching the desired address and checking “Complaints.”

What is the local Zoning Ordinance classification of the property?

You can look up Zoning Ordinance on the Planning Department’s Property Information Map

When was the Subject built?

You can look up this information under the Assessors’ tab on the Planning Department’s Property Information Map.

What is the last date of Inspection?

You can check the last date of inspection by reviewing recent permits by going to the Permit/Complaint Tracking System.

Does the Subject have any building permits?

You may view permit history on the Permit/Complaint Tracking System.

Are there any existing or pending building or fire/life safety code requirements that the Subject Property would not be grandfathered and therefore compliance would then be mandatory?

The Department of Building Inspection does not keep records of storage tanks. Please contact the Department of Public Health

The Department of Building Insection does not maintain a list of tenants for properties.
