About HHS

We help people living with HIV or AIDS by getting them medical care, support, and resources. HHS gets money from special programs called Ryan White Programs Parts A and B. This money comes from the federal HIV/AIDS Bureau and the California State Office. HHS works together with the San Francisco HIV Health Services Planning Council to decide how to use the funds.

HHS services

Right now, HHS is working with more than 50 community groups that focus on HIV. They also team up with 10 other HIV programs from DPH to help people. You can find these programs at hospital clinics, community health centers, and places that offer social services in many different counties. Some of these programs help with special services or support neighborhoods that usually don’t get a lot of attention.
