1. Check requirements for having a consumption lounge

You have to build out different features depending on how much you will prepare your products. Total construction costs are usually over $100,000.

2. Gather your plans

During the meeting, we will discuss what you need for:

  • Ventilation
  • Air filters
  • Negative pressure, for smoke rooms
  • Occupancy
  • Doors
  • Restrooms
  • Shatter proof lighting
  • Sinks
  • Flooring
  • Water heater

You must apply for a storefront retail permit to have a consumption lounge. You may need to have a hearing in front of the Planning Commission.
