Juvenile Hall
If your child is being held in Juvenile Hall, please first direct questions or complaints to the Director of Juvenile Hall at 415-753-7514.
If your child wishes to file a grievance about their treatment while in Juvenile Hall, Grievance Forms are available on every living unit. An independent ombudsman responds to all grievances within two business days.
Probation
If your child is on probation, please first direct questions or complaints to the Director of Probation Services at 415-753-4416.

The Chief Probation Officer is available to discuss matters related to youth served by the Juvenile Probation Department. To make an appointment, please call 415-753-7556.

You may also file a written complaint by requesting a Citizen Complaint Form from a Probation Officer or downloading the form below.

We will respond to written complaints with a confirmation letter and assign the complaint to staff for investigation. Once we have investigated your complaint, we will send a follow-up letter explaining outcomes from the investigation.
