Publish your FBN

Choose a San Francisco court approved newspaper to publish with.

Tell them you recently filed your FBN Statement and are required to publish. Give them a copy of your filing receipt from the County Clerk’s Office.

Newspapers might not be able to publish immediately, so contact them ASAP. Your first publication needs to appear within 45 days after you filed. If not, you will need to file a new FBN Statement and pay the fees again.

Right after the 4th publication, contact the newspaper. This is to make sure they send you a Proof of Publication. You need this to file with the County Clerk’s Office as the 5th and last step.
