Advises the Mayor and Board of Supervisors on veterans.

On October 29, 2019, the San Francisco Board of Supervisors passed a resolution recognizing every November as Veterans Month in the City and County of San Francisco, and urging all San Franciscans to recognize the veterans in their community with acts of kindness.

We meet on the 2nd Tuesday of every month except July.
Meetings start at 6pm in Room 416, San Francisco City Hall

Veterans Day, commemorated annually on Nov. 11, was first celebrated in 1919 to honor those who fought in World War I. It was initially called Armistice Day and was renamed Veterans Day in 1954. On this important day we take time to honor the service and bravery of our country's veterans.
