Drop-in career advising hours
Job seekers and City employees can drop in to get your questions answered about City employment. No appointment is needed. Drop-in hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Please note: Drop-in advising is unavailable on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month from 9:30 am to 10:30 am.
Schedule a career advising appointment
City employees can meet with DHR's Workforce Development staff to discuss career goals and plan next steps. Appointments are available Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Make an appointment.
Job seekers with disabilities
Drop-in advising for job seekers with disabilities interested in City careers is available on Mondays, 10:30 am - 11:30 am and 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm, and Tuesdays, 9:30 am - 11:30 am and 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm. Please inform us of any accommodation needs. Make an appointment.
Onboarding services
Candidates for City employment undergo a background check and receive a Disaster Service Worker (DSW) ID Badge once hired. Fingerprinting for a background check is by appointment only, and badge photos are taken at the time of fingerprinting or may be scheduled separately.
