Information sessions and workshops

Participate in a variety of workshops to receive tips and guidance on your job search for City employment and promotive opportunities. Listen to information sessions that will spotlight City departments and highlight programs and resources. Sign-up for workshops.

Drop-in career advising hours

Job seekers and City employees can drop in to get your questions answered about City employment. No appointment is needed. Drop-in hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Please note: Drop-in advising is unavailable on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.

Schedule a career advising appointment

City employees can meet with DHR's Workforce Development staff to discuss career goals and plan next steps. Appointments are available Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Make an appointment.

Job seekers with disabilities

Attend drop-in or virtual advising sessions at the following times: Mondays: 10:30 am - 11:30 am and 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm, Tuesdays: 9:30 am - 11:30 am and 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm. Please inform us of any accommodation needs. Make an appointment

Onboarding services

Candidates for City employment undergo a background check and receive a Disaster Service Worker (DSW) ID Badge once hired. Fingerprinting for a background check is by appointment only, and badge photos are taken at the time of fingerprinting or may be scheduled separately.
