Apply to sell produce you grow at a certified farmers’ market

Become a certified producer to sell your produce at any Certified Farmers’ Market (CFM) in California.

What to do

1. Apply for a Certified Producer Certificate (CPC)

You need a Certified Producer Certificate from the California Department of Food and Agriculture issued by the County Agricultural Commissioner in the county where the produce was grown

2. If you are growing in San Francisco you will need to get an inspection from an Agricultural Inspector

We will review your application and contact you to set up an inspection. 

Next steps

You need to apply to each farmers' markets you want to sell at. You must comply with the requirements specified in 3 CA ADC § 1392.4
