The Committee will discuss possible updates to the Committee bylaws. Some need review in light of changes in the City and legal environment. For example, HSA has been replaced by HSH. Others will need to be revised in light of the just-approved legislation impacting the SMC. For example, bylaws intended to prevent conflicts of interest related to the inspection of shelters may need to be revised insofar as this concern is no longer considered significant. The Policy Subcommittee voted on March 8 to ask staff to draft the revisions that are most clearly needed at this time.
