Privacy FAQs

Photographing or recording in DPH facilities providing healthcare services is prohibited unless you obtain prior approval. 

• If your supervisor, division director, and media relations office approve photographing or recording in a DPH facility, any person that will be photographed or recorded must sign a consent form.  This includes patients, clients, residents, and DPH employees.  
• Photographs and recordings should not occur in any patient area or capture any protected health information or confidential information. 
• Consent forms must be scanned into patients' medical records.
