Hospitality House is a progressive, community-based organization that provides opportunities and resources for personal growth and self-determination to homeless people and neighborhood residents. Jazzie's Place

Jazzie’s Place is a 24-bed shelter targeted to serve lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender homeless adults who are seeking shelter beds. The entire adult emergency shelter system is open to all homeless adults, including LGBT guests.

La Casa de las Madres

La Casa de las Madres provides adults, teens, and children threatened by domestic violence with safety and service to support individual needs.

Larkin Street Youth Services

Nonprofit empowering young people to move beyond homelessness.

Mission Neighborhood Resource Center (MNRC)

MNRC is a safe and clean space for the adult homeless communities of the Mission, including comprehensive transgender-specific services. MNRC advocates for housing and shelter, and enhances the physical, social, emotional, and economic health of homeless residents in the neighborhood.

Specific services include medical care, counseling, substance use support, housing support, case management, advocacy.

My TransHealth

My TransHealth is an online trans-healthcare navigation tool whose mission is to ensure that all trans and gender nonconforming people receive culturally competent service.

Openhouse

Openhouse serves seniors in the San Francisco Bay Area who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender, by providing services that reduce isolation and improve their physical and mental health and economic security.

Specific services include support groups, housing support, education programs, and community events.

Our Trans Home SF

Our Trans Home SF is a coalition working to address homelessness and housing instability impacting transgender and gender nonconforming people in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Specific services include rental assistance, transitional housing and navigation, advocacy and provider training.

SF LGBT Center

The SF LGBT Center works to connect the LGBTQ community to opportunities, resources, and one another to promote a stronger, healthier, and more equitable world for LGBTQ individuals and their allies.

San Francisco Safehouse

San Francisco Safehouse provides transitional housing and a full array of support services. The location is confidential.

Specific services include transitional housing, case management, access to therapy, job readiness training, physical health classes, and housing navigation.

Taimon Booton Navigation Center

Operated by St James Infirmary, this navigation center provides shelter and services to trans and gender nonconforming people who are experiencing homelessness.

TAJA's Coalition

Identifies barriers to safe and affordable housing for trans people in San Francisco. Works with the Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing Services to increase access for trans people.

TGI Justice Project

TGI Justice Project is a group of transgender, gender variant, and intersex people – inside and outside of prisons, jails, and detention centers – creating a united family in the struggle for survival and freedom.

Specific services include Trans Liberation Tuesday Mail Night, visitation teams, grassroots re-entry program, Stiletto newsletter, and advocate organizing.

  • Serves: Low-income transgender women of color and families who are in prison, formerly incarcerated, or targeted by the police

 

A Woman's Place

A Woman's Place offers gender-specific supportive residential and drop-in services to chronically homeless trans and cis women.

Specific services include mental health care, case management, support groups & social activities, on-site nursing, HIV support services, and substance abuse support services.
