Sex Offender Compliance Checks: On Halloween night, identified registered sex offenders have been directed to remain inside their homes, not have Halloween decorations displayed, ensure their porch lights are off, not answer their doors for “trick or treaters,” and for compliance with these restrictions to be verified through an evening Probation compliance check. This Halloween directive has been adopted to prevent future victimization by targeting those with identified sexual offenses against and attraction toward children.
