The Disaster Healthcare Volunteer (DHV) program is a statewide program that helps the San Francisco Department of Public Health recruit, deploy, and manage currently licensed and non-licensed volunteer healthcare professionals in times of disaster. How do I sign up?
  1. Register for the San Francisco Unit by clicking on the embedded link, which will direct you to the CalEMSA-managed website, healthcarevolunteers.ca.gov. 
    • Complete basic profile information and licensure information (if applicable)
  2. When adding an organization to be a part of
    • Select 'Add Organization'
    • Click on 'DHV Volunteer County Organizations'
    • Scroll to find 'San Francisco County Unit'
    • Await approval from a SFDPH account administrator

Public Health Emergency Preparedness and Response, also known as PHEPR, is the emergency management arm of the Department of Public Health.
