Item 1: How blue zones (accessible parking spaces) are tracked, sited, designed, and publicized. The processes of updating the blue zone database, publicly sharing the location of blue zones, analyzing existing blue zone distribution, and planning new blue zone locations. Also, I learned how the SFMTA intakes new requests for blue zones and how blue zones are being added as part of city-wide projects.
- Item 2: The San Francisco City Fellows program, in collaboration with the Mayor’s Office on Disability, will report on their 10-week project that explored the feasibility of installing electric wheelchair charging stations in San Francisco public spaces.
