STEP-BY-STEP
Claim and use your grant funding
Each organization must complete the Compliance Intake and Reimbursement Request processes to meet the City's compliance requirements and use their grant funding.
The following steps apply to new and returning awardees.
Contact gfta@sfgov.org for any questions.
Attend a workshop
Awarded organizations are highly encouraged to attend one Contracting and Reimbursement workshop to understand each process.
Each workshop will be recorded and be made available on our website.
Submit your Reimbursement Request
After completing the compliance intake process, grantees must submit a reimbursement request to claim their grant payment.
Learn about the steps and requirements in this page. Please note that organizations only become eligible to submit a reimbursement request after completing the compliance intake process.
NEW REQUIREMENT: Mid-Cycle Grantee Reporting
FY25 GFTA grantees are required to submit a Mid-Cycle Grantee Reporting Form in order to be eligible to receive their FY26 GFTA grant. The reporting form will cover the period from July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025.
GFTA is now accepting the FY25 Mid-Cycle Grantee Form on a rolling basis until Thursday, July 31, 2025. Grantees may submit their report only in the link they received via email on January 9, 2025. Prior to submitting online, grantees are encouraged to fill out this template. We do not accept reports via email. To receive support, grantees are invited to attend one of our monthly Technical Assistance Sessions.
Late Reporting Policy: All reports are due on the date outlined in your grant agreement. Any reports not received are considered late and the grantee is not in good standing with GFTA. We have the authority to pause payments and/or processing on any grants for which reporting is incomplete or outstanding; as well as pause payments on any other open grants or pending new grants or amendments, including fiscally sponsored grants.
