The Investigator may take custody of certain personal property belonging to your loved one. The property is logged and secured here. Clothing will be kept with the remains and released to the mortuary or funeral home
How do I get my loved one’s personal property?
Property can be retrieved and released to the legal Next-of-Kin or their representative here at the OCME office at 1 Newhall Street, San Francisco, on Wednesday’s and Friday’s from 10:30 AM to 3 PM; unless other arrangements are made in advance.
