2024-2029 funding awards
Our RFP is our process for deciding funding for youth programs. Grants from our most recent RFP will last from 2024 to 2029. This page includes information about grant awards and next steps for applicants.
We had to make tough decisions on 698 program proposals asking for over $414 million as the City faces a budget deficit.
Our yearly investment for this funding cycle is over $92 million, or over $460 million over the next 5 years. These grants represent the programs we feel are best positioned to help us reach our results.
We announced our award decisions on March 11, 2024.

- Proposals scored based on average of 3 readers. Each reader gave a recommendation of fund, fund with reservations, or do not fund.
- 670 of 698 proposals got recommendations to fund or fund with reservations.
Deliberation
- DCYF staff and funding partners answered questions about recommended proposals based on how fundable they were.
- Does the proposal align with the goals and requirements of the strategy or initiative?
- Does the proposal indicate an ability to recruit, engage, and serve the target population?
- Is the budget adequate and appropriate for the proposed services?
- Does the agency or program's past performance or non grantee site visit indicate an ability to implement the proposed services?
- 338 proposals got 4 "yes" answers.
