San Francisco Medical Monitoring Project (MMP)

MMP is a public health project designed to learn about the experiences and needs of people living with HIV.

The Medical Monitoring Project (MMP) is a surveillance project funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in partnership with the San Francisco Department of Public Health (SFDPH). As one of 23 project areas participating in MMP, San Francisco seeks to learn more about the experiences and needs of people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWH).

 MMP aims to:

  • provide information about the behaviors, health outcomes, and quality of care of PLWH
  • serve as a resource for stakeholders, policy makers, and advocates to combat the nationwide HIV/AIDS epidemic
