A requirement from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, which provides significant funding for MOHCD through programs like the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Housing Opportunities for People with AIDS (HOPWA).

Five-Year Consolidated Plans
A HUD-required report issued in conjunction with the annual Action Plan, MOHCD works with other City departments that receive HUD funding to submit this Consolidated Plan every five years.
As part of the five-year Consolidated Plan, HUD requires MOHCD and other City departments to provide an annual summary of activities and resources to support the City and County of San Francisco's Consolidated Plan goals.
Draft of 2023-2024 Action Plan
The Mayor’s Office of Housing and Community Development (MOHCD), Office of Economic and Workforce Development (OEWD) and Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing (HSH) invite you to share input on the Draft 2023-2024 Action Plan, which includes funding recommendations for fiscal year 2023-2024 under the following four federal funding programs: Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG), Home Investment Partnership (HOME), and Housing Opportunities for Persons With AIDS (HOPWA). The final version will be submitted to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and will be published later this summer after HUD review.

Prior Year Action Plans
Created alongside the Department of Public Health, Homelessness and Supportive Housing, and Human Services Agency, this five-year plan includes strategies and initiatives to provide stable housing for people living with HIV/AIDS.
MOHCD issued its first-phase racial equity plan in December 2020, and continues to provide progress reports and inventories with the Office of Racial Equity.

MOHCD inherited many projects and assets from the former San Francisco Redevelopment Agency. We continue to report on their progress:
Affordable Housing Database (AB 987)
Assembly Bill 987 (AB 987) (January 2008) requires California redevelopment agencies to report:
- A list of restricted housing units.
- A "Notice of Affordable Restrictions on Transfer of Property" on new or substantially rehabilitated housing created as part of a low- and moderate-income housing program.
